With the nano ceramic technology, we can reduce the number of stages being used which also adds to the savings and improves the quality of the pretreatment process. Eco-friendly KCI Company’s nano ceramic coating is an excellent alternative for customers in areas where phosphates are not permitted, thus eliminating the need for costly removal of those phosphates. N-8028 cleans, coats, and seals all in one, reducing the number of stages from 3 to 1, which will also add to the savings.

 
     
 
 CAPABILITIES:
N-8028 and N-8034X are non phosphate detergent nano ceramic coatings, which are utilized in a 1 stage (or higher) spray or soak washer. They clean, coat and seal all in one. N-8600 is a non phosphate nano, exclusively used only for coating and sealing in a 3 stage (or higher) system. The N Series provide excellent paint corrosion protection and is an excellent alternative for customers in areas where phosphate discharges are not permitted. If using a high quality powder coating, you can expect salt spray endurance between 500 to 1000 hrs. If the application is a wet coat using premium paint, expect a salt spray endurance of 100 to 200 hrs. According to the Society of Metal Finishing, nano ceramic coatings are far superior to iron phosphates in both powder and wet coat applications.

These two panels on the left were treated by the competitor’s nano ceramic coating in a lab environment. A minimum of a 3 stage pretreatment system was used.   The two panels on the right were treated with KCI’s N-8028 in the lab with a 3 stage pretreatment system. Panels were treated at 90 degrees.
